I'm sure many of you saw this article in the Times Observer a few weeks ago. But, as the garage sale gets closer, I want to share it again to emphasize what you do for your neighbors in need. Neighbors who you might never meet but who benefit from your extraordinary generosity.

It's easy and fun to get caught up in the idea of the "biggest, best garage sale ever!" That is for sure. I think Lorri Drumm, the reporter who crafted the article, really honed in on the true essence of our sale and our mission. With the title "Powerful proceeds" it explains it two words what our major fundraiser of each year means to those we support. And what power you provide in order to continue that support.
We're are looking forward to a great sale, a fun time and to meeting all of you at the Sale. As you're enjoying shopping around for your treasures I hope you'll also feel the help, hope and positive energy YOU are providing to the community where you live.
