I'm pleased to announce that the Hooktown Holiday's $1000 Scholarship for the 2016/2017 school year has been awared to Katherin Harkins.  Katherine will be attending Gannon University with Forensic Science as her course of study. She was a high ranking student at Warren High School and was invloved in many school activities.
Katherine is also community minded and volunteers with several organizations. Katherine told us, "I will be the first person in my entire family to go to college. I want to better myself so I can help my entire family."  I hope you join me in congratulating Katherine and wishing her well in her studies and success into the future.

It's a real pleasure for me to announce that our home-town bank, Northwest Savings Bank, has donated $500 to Hooktown Holiday's. Certainly the main reason for gratitude is that it's money given back the our community in order to help our neighbors in need. Another reason for gratitude is that Northwest Savings, a local and well respected business,  understands the commitment our organization has to always be proactive in helping as described in our mission statement, our determination to be here in the long run and our dedication to "walking our talk". We are out there volunteering, raising funds, responding to the needs of our community.  I'm grateful that this local business recognizes the benefits that Hooktown Holiday's brings to the people of Warren.  A great big "Thank You"!  And, a promise that every penny donated goes back into our community.
