Hey everyone! It’s Hooktown Rachel here. I’m the cofounder, along with my people Terry and Betty Jo, of Hooktown Holidays, Inc. Current events have sure turned things topsy turvy this year and people everywhere are trying hard to set everything right. In the meantime, I’ve noticed that a lot of you have been checking in on our FB page and I’m guessing you are looking for some updates as to what’s going on with Hooktown Holidays. So, while everyone else is busy, I’ve decided to jump in and lend a paw in order to bring you up to speed on what’s happening. First, though, let me tell you about my picture.
“It’s the right thing to do. It’s the right time to do it”. You can see that I’m setting a good example of this by wearing my mask, just like all of you are doing. Because that is the right thing to do right now. But, masks are just a small part of “doing the right thing at the right time”. Our mission to provide nutritious food, warm clothing, and other necessities of life to children, families and other individuals in need in our community has not stopped or changed. In fact, the call is greater than ever to help our friends and neighbors in need who are hidden from view because of the overwhelming circumstances all people are facing.
Hooktown Holidays is committed to doing the right thing at the right time to continue our mission. We are here to stay. Please join us as you check out the next several posts on our progress and future efforts.
