This past Monday, January 22, Warren County Commissioner Ben Kafferlin presented a “State of the County” address focusing on fiscal reforms and internal initiatives. Among the many important matters he spoke of, this one struck closest to home relative to Hooktown Holidays, Inc.
“The vast majority of citizens in Warren County have no conception of the poverty within our borders,” said Commissioner Kafferlin. “We need to stop turning a blind eye to our community.” The need is real and, as Commissioner Kafferlin pointed out, that need is largely unseen.
Since 2013 Hooktown Holidays Inc. and it’s supporters, with a mission to provide nutritious food, warm clothing and other basic necessities of life, have had their eyes wide open with regards to the very issue of which Commissioner Kafferlin speaks.
