I'm not usually at a loss for words. If you know me, that is a true statement. But...the Hooktown Holidays 2017 Annual Garage Sale has turned into an event that I'm not sure how to describe. I'm going to choose the word "Festival". In addition to over 7 storage houses worth of great items, we will also be featuring additional vendors who will offer many different hand crafted products. Also, there will be food available and music for your enjoyment! Lots of seating in case you need to take a break from all that's going on. Everything will be tented, although there's promise of a glorious sunny day.
So, I guess that's a lot of "words" to be sure. Here are the most important. This event has far exceeded what we could ever imagine. This is a true coming together of the wonderful people of Warren County to support Hooktown Holidays mission: To provide nutritious food, warm clothing, and/or others necessities of life to children, families and other individuals in need in our community.
Most of the donated items are not just cast-offs. They are things, new and old, that will have meaning to many of you. We have something of every kind! If I take a moment to think about it, I'm sometimes overwhelmed. But, we will be there for you and I know you will be there for us.
Well, as it turns out, I'm not at a loss for words after all. I promise that this will be an event to remember. Most of all because you know, by attending, that you are helping those in need in our community.
